About Cameron
I
’m a second-generation ad man, and the eldest son of Guy Day* who co-founded an agency whose name you may recognize. They continue to produce some very good work and I share the same aspiration. In fact, I’ve spent 20-plus years practicing everything my pop taught me about being a good man, and a good advertising man. I know I’m not the only one who misses him.
Specialties:
Although some would beg to differ, I’ve never considered myself a specialist. Granted, I have an affinity for cars, which is actually more like a disease than a hobby. I understand the technical stuff, am interested in the engineering and passionate about automotive design. I could spend hours on the subject. Don’t test that theory unless you’re genuinely interested or a true glutton for punishment.
I try to bring that same level of passion to my craft.
There is no screenplay in my back pocket. I’m perfectly happy putting brands on center stage and watching like a proud parent from the wings. I’m comfortable standing in front of groups of strangers and don’t mind making a complete ass of myself for the sake of selling a good idea. I never get nervous before meetings. Unless it’s in a proctologist’s office.
I am an avid listener and I like helping smart people solve marketing problems. I love it when my clients win awards and my employers make money.

Outside Interests:
My hobby and love is hot rods. Specifically period-correct sixties hot rods. Not long ago, I finished transforming a 1965 Chevrolet Suburban into my idea of the ultimate 60′s beach cruiser. The truck was featured in Classic Trucks magazine in ’08. I recently sold a customized 1965 Buick Rivera I spent 1o years fixing up to a customcar collector in Minnesota. I’m currently in the midst of building a 1929 Ford Model A roadster using a mixture of custom fabricated parts and early sixties high-performance pieces.

I own three small internet businesses, two that dabble in hot rod merchandise (HotRodShiftKnobs) , (HouseOspeed) and the other, in educational toys . My wife handles day-to-day operations, which keeps her on her toes and affords us a handy excuse to blog, twitter, and promote our merchandise in the digital realm. We are big fans of Google Adwords, Facebook and march to the beat of various forms of SEO. We’re small business owners and we know what works.
If you ever need a custom shift knob, a cool hot rod T-shirt, a vintage patch, or a two-sided educational floor puzzle, look no further.
Family:
I have a beautiful wife who is an entreprenerial whiz and two handsome sons, one of whom shares my propensity for tinkering with cars and the other who sings and writes music. We were adopted by a pair of loving Vizsla hounds a couple years ago, and we have come to the ultimate realization that it’s their world and we’re just supplying the kibble.
Life is good. Now shall we get back to advertising?
*My father passed peacefully in January of 2010. May he continue to rest in peace.
